🤖⚡️VIRTUAL WORKSHOP ALERT

Monday, October 10 I will be teaming up with @southwestprintfiesta to teach about one of my favorite things: making posters! Link in bio to register/check out more of their extra-fun workshop offerings. Here’s a little more about what we’ll be covering in the virtual realm:

In this workshop we will demystify the poster-making process, from initial concept to the printed piece. Along the way, we'll cover things like client interaction, sketching/layout approach, proofing tactics, and efficient poster printing. Participants will have input on a poster we'll create over the course of the class, and will receive a printed poster, as well as some tips that should be useful in both a personal and professional practice.

Type-in-action for @brighterlightbrigade ‘s new EP, out today! Proud of all the hard work this team has been putting in to get some great kids (and beyond!) songs into the world 🌈

To differentiate all 7(!) discs in the Ed & Ella Haley boxed set, special care was taken to make each one a bit unique. Each packet (based roughly on old fiddle string packaging) got its own custom illustrations to go along with the track listing, and a different color was hand mixed for each, matched to the candy-colored disc inside.

Happy to say that all design/print elements for @springfedrecords upcoming release, “Stole From the Throat of A Bird: The Complete Recordings of Ed & Ella Haley” have just been turned in for completion! Soon this boxed set of 7 discs and a 100+ page booklet will be available, after a lot of years and no small amount of work by one of my favorite labels.

Here’s a clip of the cover art being carved last year (the birds even sang for it.)
